The playground was bustling with children. Kids were pulling stunts on the monkey bars, going up and down on the teeter totters, taking turns on the slide, and playing an exciting game of freeze tag. One of the girls who went by the name of Alice wandered around the playground, searching for a group of kids to join when she noticed that a boy was sitting alone on the swing set. He wore a dark purple hoodie with black stripes and he looked as though he was in the highest grade. In his arms he cuddled a stuffed, white rabbit plush with glossy black button eyes and glittering blue stars on its paws and ears. He had this rather bored look on his face while he fiddled with the rabbit’s ears, like he was lonely and needed someone to play with him.
Alice made her way over to him and greeted him with a smile, “Hi!” She waved to him, but he was too interested in the plush. “Hello?” she questioned.
His head slowly rose and he gave her this disconcerted look and clut

Patches (Part 1)
1: Patching a New Pal

In a world so bland, some wish to find a world much better than their own. Well, there is a way to find one. If one goes down deep into the woods of olde, they will meet a man in a black waistcoat with a top hat. A man much stranger than the ones of norm, but worry not - he's friendly, not evil. He invites those who are lost to stay in a fantastical world of his creation. A place where those who do not belong in such a boring world can be themselves and free. "So come, children with your smiles so wide. Come stay in a magical world where all your dreams become real. Come meet Mr. Needlework, the man of surreal."
***

The celebration had just begun and the performers were putting on their best show. There were two of them – a black rat and a chocolate-colored hare. They were made of felt and each had two button eyes, two hats total on their rodent heads, and two floppy ears on each side. The hare held a single card on an engraved si

~BASIC INFO~

Full Name:

~Gilbert Warrens (This is the name that he formerly had, however, he can no longer remember this name along with many other memories of his early life that he used to have.)

~Velveteen Patchwork

Meaning of name:

~Gilbert means “oath” or “trusted,” an ironic statement for this character. Warrens literally means a rabbit “warren” a series of connected underground tunnels occupied by rabbits.

~Velveteen: a cotton pile fabric with short pile.Patchwork: made of pieces of cloth or leather of various colors or shapessewed together, used especially for covering quilts, cushions, etc.

Nickname(s):

~Giver or G

~Patches

Creepypasta Name:

~Patches the Rabbit & the Giver

How Did They Get This Name and Why:

~The Giver is a name he gave to himself over time. After so many years of wear and tear on his brain, Gilbert had forgotten his original name. The name eventually warped into ‘the Giver’ since he gave out ~Patches as a gift to others so he can share her ‘special talents.’ He named himself the Giver.

Patches is a shortened version of Patchwork. The Giver calls her this because of its simplicity.

Gender:

~The Giver: Male

~Patches: Female

Age:

~The Giver: (10) 206

~Patches: Her true age is unknown, but she takes the form of an old, grey-toned white rabbit.

Date of Birth:

~The Giver: November 30th 1809

~Patches: Unknown

Race/Species:

~The Giver: Human

~Patches: Demonic Parasitic Rabbit

Native language:

~The Giver speaks British English.

~Patches can only speak in small ‘clicking’ noises. It is only animal sounds and not speech. She would be lucky if she could even spurt out a single word. However, she can write perfect English if given the opportunity and a reason to do so.

Orientation/Sexual Preference:

~The Giver doesn't understand the concept. He’s still a ten year old boy and no one ever taught him that kind of thing.

~Patches is the only one or the few of her kind, so there is no way she’d be able to reproduce.

Occupation (before becoming a Pasta):

~The Giver was an orphan in an orphanage. I don’t want to give away what happens, but he leaves the orphanage and is stuck on the streets.  Patches was a performing animal. In the midst of these events, the two meet. That’s all I want to give away about their backstory. The relationship doesn’t make sense at the moment, but it will when it’s done. Have you ever seen a lion give gratitude to the person who rescued them?

Are They Dead:

~The Giver is an immortalized human, but can still die like anyone else, even sickness. He was bitten by Patches at the age of 10 and now no longer ages. His skin, however, is extremely dry at points and tends to flake off. At times, it feels like mosquito bites cover his body.
~Patches also doesn't age and can be killed, but won't die of sicknesses.

~MEDICAL INFO~

Phobias:

~The Giver: The Giver has an irrational fear of adults and will go out of his way to avoid them. He is fine with other children and animals, but the sight of adults just make him cringe.
~Patches: She fears being abandoned by the Giver and losing his trust; that he may die one day (which will hurt her because she has an emotional attachment to the Giver); anyone unzipping the bag, or her existence becoming known. Her existence is the upmost important thing to her.

Mental Disorder:

~The Giver:

~Stockholm syndrome (Platonic friendship.): He is convinced that the rabbit is his only family. The rabbit’s been with him since he was 10 years old and he’s never lived around another human since then. He doesn’t even feel human at this point and he thinks that she’s the most important thing in his life, when in reality; he is just being used by a monster that had too much gratitude leftover to kill him off.

~Schizophrenia: He will see and hear things that are not actually there. He prefers to be alone with Patches unless she needs to feed, in which he will travel to a schoolyard and find a victim. He'll have fits of schizophrenia if Patches doesn't maintain him. She will slip her saliva into the back of his neck while he’s asleep and ceils it. He is unaware of this.

~An unknown skin disorder caused by what Patches did to him, causing a most likely incurable rash to take over his entire body. It will sometimes painfully itch. If Patches ever died, there would be no one around to maintain his condition. It would take over his entire body within a few years and he would die from it. The only way to stop it is if he ever came across the Black Trumper - the creator of Patches - and his cohorts again, if he's lucky enough to gain his forgiveness.

Powers/Special Abilities:

~The Giver: Other than being unable to age, he is a normal human boy. You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between him and another child if it wasn’t for the skin condition and the serious attitude. He is a good seamstress and fixes Patches’ costume when it rips. He made his hoodie himself out of the old black one he had in the late 1980’s. He changes his clothes to fit the era he’s in. He may be a kid, but he’s not stupid in the slightest. Although still childish at heart and in interests, he has an adult attitude towards things. He also runs swiftly since he's been around the rabbit for the majority of his years. It's almost impossible to catch up to him if he runs off. He has good knowledge of survival, especially during the winter. He also how to stay out of sight so no one finds out about him.

~Patches: A parasitic animal that brings the rabbit to ‘life’ by controlling its arms/legs and pretends to be the child’s friend, makes tiny ‘clicking’ noises as though she’s trying to speak. Patches can enter a child’s body through the nape of the neck by making an incision or through the mouth if it’s open. Her body and bones can twist whichever way they please as long as her head can fit through the hole. The child will puke blood and go through severe pains. She devours them from the inside out and exiting through the stomach. This can happen with adults too if she finds the adult weak enough to attack or if the adult is asleep/not paying attention. She prefers to keep it safe and go for the weak, just like any predator would. When calm, her claws and teeth retract.

~Patches: A white rabbit backpack with button eyes and an x for a nose and a stitched in mouth. It has blue stars on the tips of the ears and on the appendages. It has a huge dark blue patch on the back, a burgundy on its tummy, a dark jade on its right leg, and a dark blue underneath an eye. The actual rabbit looks harelike and half-starved and you can see its ribcage

~Patches: Her teeth/fangs and the doll itself

Physical Disorder/Disability:

~The Giver: The back of his neck is often in pain, more often than other areas

Other: Patches has also been mistaken for a spirit possessing a rabbit or the toy herself. No, she’s an animal living inside the toy.

~PERSONALITY~

Overall:

~The Giver: A young boy who doesn’t appear to realize the trouble he’s causing. He just is feeding his friend and that’s all he understands. He stopped feeling bad about the deaths that Patches caused over the years and got used to it, forgetting how wrong it really is. Unlike most other pastas, he has no intentional malicious intent and is not insane. His mood swings from happy to content depending on the situation. If someone wants to see Patches, then he gets into a good mood, otherwise he can be really dull, boring, and at some points highly serious. (He may be stuck a kid, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have points where he's mature.) He has an obsession with the rabbit, hence why he dresses up as one. At points, he will refer to himself as one, but 'just a little bit different.'

Patches: An animal just trying to feed herself. She’s a very determined creature, despite being so small. She enjoys playing with her food, hence why she plays with the kids as the rabbit before she kills them. She has the intelligence that fights with the level of a human’s. Give her a rubix cube, she can solve it in under 30 seconds. She also has a snarky, sarcastic personality and won't hesitate to playfully mess with Gilbert. She would be slightly pained if anything were to ever happen to him, but would eventually move on.

Likes:

~Giver: Patches, Spring, Rain, other children

~Patches: Herself, children, Gilbert

Dislikes:

~Giver: Winter, Hunger, Adults

~Patches: Sometimes she can get a little annoyed with the Giver when he’s not listening or paying attention; Adults

Hobbies:

~The Giver: on normal occasions, he plays with kids in various parks because it’s the safest place for him where he won’t get caught. He doesn't show Patches to them unless she reveals herself to one. You never know when she will though.

Flaws:

~Giver: He’s stuck as a child, so he has a difficult time fitting into society. He relies on Patches to find food for him. They often return to the victim’s house and steal whatever’s inside while the family mourns for them.

~Patches: She needs the flesh of human beings to survive. Nothing else can satisfy her. Yes, she can eat it, but no matter what it is, if it is not human flesh, it will not crave her hunger. Her body will reject it in the next couple of hours of consuming anything non-human as well. She’s a tiny creature and if she was ever discovered, she’d most likely be killed. It’s also easy for her to get run over or attacked by a larger animal if she’s not careful.

Worst Way To Kill:

~ ‘A Rushed Meal’ When they’re struggling to find victims, she has to pick off someone random off the street and she prefers to mess around with her victims.

Best Way To Kill (how they kill):

~Devours victims from the inside out (See special powers/abilities)

Targets To Killing:

~Elementary children and preschoolers

Quote(s):

~ “When you’ve fallen down the rabbit hole, there’s no climbing back up. You lay there until you die.”
~ "Some kids aren't really kids."

Theme Songs: Egypt Central - White Rabbit(Patches), Korn – Coming Undone (The Giver)
